Boot Linux on to an external USB drive

Many students didn't want to install Linux at home to their main hard drive and risk ruining their windows. One option was to buy an external USB drive. If your computer doesn't have the capability to boot directly from a USB drive, then you will have to create a boot disk. The instructions and technical information is listed in the forum.
